Our client is an established and growing Construction business, currently opening a new office in Daventry, they are actively recruiting for an Office Manager to join the business.
The Office Manager will be responsible for organising all administrative activities that facilitate the smooth running of the depot/office. This includes the organising of people, information and other resources. The successful candidate must ensure that office equipment is maintained, relevant records, inspections and consents are up to date and that all administration processes work effectively.
Office Manager – Key Accountabilities • Respond to all incoming telephone calls and site visitors. • Use a range of office software, including email, spreadsheets and databases, to ensure the efficient running of the office. • Develop and implement new administrative systems, such as record management. • Arrange meetings, allocate rooms/office space and organise accommodation, catering and transport as required. • Record office expenditure and manage budget. • Setting up new contract files (electronic and paper) and filing of all contract paperwork. • Checking off weekly allocation sheets to ensure all received in a timely manner and forwarded on as necessary • Organise the office layout and maintain supplies of stationery and equipment, undertake stock checks. • Maintain the condition of the office and arrange for necessary repairs. • Organising induction programmes for new employees. • Ensure that correct safety procedures and policies are observed and adhered to in the office and depot environment. • Arrange regular and appropriate testing and inspection of office and depot equipment and maintain appropriate records.
Office Manager – Qualities & Experience • Strong Office administration experience essential • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills • Flexible approach and effective problem solver • Good communication and interpersonal skills, be a team player who is happy to work unsupervised on own autonomy. • Excellent computer skills particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Office Manager offering £20,000 – £25,000 basic salary plus benefits. This is a full-time, permanent, office based position. Standard hours, Monday to Friday 8.30am until 5pm with occasional flexibility to meet needs of business.
