Offering £40,000 – £50,000 Basic Salary plus Great Benefits

Our client is an established manufacturing facility based in Harrogate. Due to continued growth, they are now recruiting an IT Manager to join their business. The successful IT Manager will be responsible for ensuring the correct operation of the information systems and infrastructure that supports the business, as well as the implementation and deployment of new services.

IT Manager – Key Responsibilities

• Lead the IT function, providing strategic vision and proactively making improvements and updates to operating procedures and policies.
• Collaborate, together with stakeholders and the technology team in the maintenance, improvement and optimisation of the organisation’s IT infrastructure.
• Be hands-on, a technical expert, providing 2nd and 3rd line technical support to the Service Desk as and when required.
• Coordinate updates, deployments and new IT projects.
• Supervision of the infrastructure: detection of needs/weaknesses.
• Support, coach and lead a small growing team.
• Licensing management and user management (Active Directory).
• Monitor the proper functioning and use of the network (allocation of IP, connections, etc).
• Supervision of basic security services and corporate applications.
• Early detection of configuration/conflict risks with general rules.
• Management of support contracts, budgets and negotiations with suppliers.
• Work closely with 3rd party suppliers to ensure relationships remain strong and the needs of the business are being met.

IT Manager – Essentials

• Hands-on technical skills with solid 2nd and 3rd line exposure (Microsoft applications and operating systems, Virtualisation, Storage, Networks and Remote Desktops).
• Strong management and leadership skills, experienced in leading, supporting and coaching an IT team.
• IT/Technical degree or qualifications (ITIL/Cyber Essentials or equivalent) desirable.
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to prioritise and execute tasks in a collaborative environment.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

The IT Manager position is offering £40,000 – £50,000 basic salary plus great benefits for the successful candidate! This is a full-time, permanent, site based position in Harrogate.
