Our client is a well-established and highly successful business operating and supporting multiple UK locations, with their Head Office based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. They are currently recruiting for a 2nd Line Helpdesk Support Analyst to join their technical support team in a fast paced and proactive environment.
2nd Line Helpdesk Support Analyst – Key Responsibilities
- Provide 2nd line IT helpdesk support to internal users.
- Fault finding technical issues through to resolution. Escalating to 3rd line if needed.
- Conduct in-depth support calls escalated from the 1st line helpdesk team post initial investigations.
- Responsible for enforcing company IT rules and procedures.
- Carry out both proactive and reactive, local and remote site visits to install hardware, software, network kit, etc. assisting IT Helpdesk Projects Team Leader and/or IT Helpdesk Project Co-ordinator.
- Build and configure new & redeployed laptop, desktop PCs & VDI terminals.
- Carry out repairs to any peripherals: laptops, desktop PCs etc.
- Configure and/or redeploy mobile devices such as Android or iOS phones or tablets onto our MDM platform.
- Identify areas of concern with relation to ‘known fault trends’ or operational processes improvement.
- Undertake audits on systems where required.
- Ensure all necessary administration tasks are accurate and kept up-to-date.
2nd Line Helpdesk Support Analyst – Skills & Experience
- Previous 1st/2nd line IT helpdesk support experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Team player with good communication skills and a commitment to success.
- Able to multi task, driven and self-motivated.
- Experienced providing Microsoft Active Directory support (users, printers, files, administration).
- Helpdesk support experience of MS Office Packages from 2013 through to 2019 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project etc.).
- Experience supporting network printers and building PCs (imaging and configuration).
- Previous support experience of LAN/WAN technologies.
The role of 2nd Line Helpdesk Support Analyst is offering £26,000 – £30,000 Basic Salary plus Benefits for the successful candidate. This is a full-time, permanent position based onsite at our client’s Head Office in Harrogate.
