Technical Requirements
We’re seeking a UX Designer with a mix of the following skills and experience. If you don’t meet every requirement, we still encourage you to apply.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience as a UX Designer or in a similar role
- A strong portfolio showcasing design projects
- Proficiency in UX tools (e.g., Figma, Axure, Miro etc.)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- A Bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science, or a related field
- Working with the GDS framework or other Gov experience (nice to have)
About You
As a UX Designer, you will create user-centered interfaces that are both intuitive and visually engaging. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to understand user needs and translate them into thoughtful design solutions. Your creativity and attention to detail will be key to improving the overall user experience of our clients’ products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct user research (interviews, surveys, usability testing, contextual inquiry)
- Define user personas, journey maps, and experience flows
- Facilitate discovery sessions and design workshops with stakeholders
- Translate business and user needs into clear problem statements and design opportunities
- Create information architecture, user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes
- Design intuitive, visually engaging user interfaces aligned with brand guidelines
- Develop and maintain design systems and UI component libraries
- Conduct usability testing and iterate based on insights and data
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, and other stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle
- Prepare and present design concepts, rationale, and research findings
- Ensure accessibility and usability best practices are applied
- Support implementation by providing detailed design specifications and reviewing builds for quality assurance
- Monitor post-launch performance and continuously optimize the user experience
