Procurement Category Manager - MRO

Our client is a well-established FMCG and food manufacturing organisation with operations across multiple continents are looking for a Procurement Category Manager for MRO/FM and Industrial procurement. You’ll own the end-to-end category performance, from supplier selection and relationship management through to delivering annual cost and productivity targets.

Our client is a well-established FMCG and food manufacturing organisation with operations across multiple continents are looking for a Procurement Category Manager for MRO/FM and Industrial procurement.

You’ll own the end-to-end category performance, from supplier selection and relationship management through to delivering annual cost and productivity targets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute group-wide buying strategies and policies for the Industrials, MRO and FM category across multiple geographies and business units
  • Optimise the supplier base by identifying opportunities to leverage scale, harmonise specifications, and standardise contractual terms
  • Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships, tracking performance against agreed metrics and proactively resolving issues
  • Deliver annual productivity and cost improvement targets through commercial negotiation and category expertise
  • Collaborate across multiple functions and geographies to deliver successful procurement projects and initiatives
  • Provide technical category expertise and commercial guidance to support group-wide sourcing decisions

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent professional qualification
  • Extensive experience in indirect procurement – MRP/FM or Manufacturing focused
  • Demonstrated success delivering commercial value through negotiation and supplier relationship management
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to influence stakeholders and suppliers
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to build meaningful relationships and challenge thinking constructively
  • Persuasive communicator who can influence and negotiate effectively

This is a hybrid role where you’ll be expected to be in the office 2 days a week with regular travel to other sites.

Salary banding from £80,000 – £90,000 + £7,000 car allowance, bonus and benefits.
