FULL DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a proactive and knowledgeable Health & Safety Advisor to join our team and provide essential support across the entire business. From our factory and testing facilities at Grove to trackside operations and commercial functions, you’ll be a trusted point of contact for all health and safety matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Support departments in creating, reviewing and updating Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Assist teams in collecting and managing COSHH data, including inventories, safety data sheets and assessments.
Safety Culture & Engagement
- Actively promote safety throughout the business.
- Deliver toolbox talks and collaborate with the Health & Safety Committee.
Compliance & Assurance
- Lead accident and incident investigations, including root cause analysis and reporting.
- Conduct audits and inspections across all business areas to ensure compliance with internal procedures and legislative requirements.
- Provide clear and practical advice on a wide range of health and safety topics, including PPE.

- Ensure a thorough understanding of and compliance with health and safety obligations.
- Maintain high standards of conduct and act as a positive ambassador for the department.
- Uphold brand standards and ensure the department is professionally presented.
- Work to quality standards and proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Maintain awareness of and comply with cost cap rules and requirements.
Core Competencies
We are looking for someone with strong working knowledge of:
- PUWER, DSEAR, LOLER, Vibration, Occupational Hygiene, Fire Safety, COSHH, DSE, PPE, Working at Height, Manual Handling
- Contractor control, RAMS review, statutory inspections, and supporting Facilities/Maintenance teams with H&S responsibilities
You will also demonstrate:
- Clear, empathetic and engaging communication skills
- Strong report writing capability
- The ability to present complex information succinctly to all levels of the business
- Resilience, motivation and passion for driving positive change
Qualifications & Experience
- NEBOSH National Diploma (or equivalent - essential)
- An auditing qualification (desirable)
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or high‑performance environment (advantageous)
- Experience applying CDM health and safety principles (beneficial)
