Volunteer Kitchen Assistant
Monday 11-3pm, Wednesday 11-3pm, Thursday 11-3pm
(hours may vary slightly and could be extended by mutual arrangement)
We are a patient-centred charity that delivers palliative and end of life care to thousands of people each year with advanced life-limiting illnesses who live in Northwest Surrey, also providing support to their carers and families in patient homes, in care or nursing homes or through its In-Patient Unit in the Hospice; as well as through the Bradbury Wellbeing Centre.
You will, therefore, be joining a passionate and dedicated team of volunteers who make a real difference to the families across North West Surrey community.

Volunteer Colleague
We’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic volunteers who can engage with people of all ages and from all walks of life to join our team.
Purpose of the role:
Currently we are looking for a volunteer/s who is/are happy in a kitchen environment, working as part of a team to help the Head Chef as a General Kitchen Assistant.
The role will involve washing up and general kitchen duties, ensuring food hygiene standards and cleanliness in the workplace is maintained at all times by adhering to the cleaning schedule.
This service provides catering to the Hospice throughout the day, 7 days a week therefore your availability will be discussed when you meet with the Head Chef to learn more about the role.

Location:
Goldsworth Park Centre, Woking, GU21 3LG, which is close to all major road networks and the Hospice offers ample free car parking**.
Hours
A minimum of 4 hours per week, more if you are able to!

This volunteer role may be subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it may be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convicti
