Books and Community Hub Manager

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] seeks a Community Hub Manager for its new bookshop in Egham. The role involves setting up and developing the bookshop, engaging with the local community, and supporting fundraising efforts. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in sales, retail, or fundraising, strong leadership skills, and a passion for literature.

Location: Egham

Status: Permanent Full Time Contract

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000

[Employer hidden] is a vital part of the Surrey healthcare system and provides a range of services for thousands of people each year. As a charity the Hospice is reliant on the income it is able to generate from its fundraising activities and the sale of donated goods through its shops.

The Hospice currently seeks a Community Hub Manager for its brand new bookshop in Egham, which is relocating from one end of Egham High Street to the other and into a much better retail unit that will allow for significant growth.

This is an exciting new opportunity for the successful candidate to set up and develop the Hospice’s new bookshop and to also support its fundraising efforts by engaging with the local community.

You will have at least 4 years of experience working in sales, retail, fundraising or similar and an ability to network with stakeholders at all levels. It is essential that you are a people person and are able to demonstrate strong leadership skills to motivate a team of staff and volunteers to deliver against a number of financial targets.

Previous experience of working with books will be an advantage but you must demonstrate a passion for and an interest in literature.
