Flexible Security Officer

As a Security Officer, you will be the frontline presence for our clients—helping to maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment. This role offers variety and flexibility, with opportunities to work across multiple sites and support a range of contracts. You will deliver high standards of customer service while ensuring site safety and security at all times.

Candidate must have

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent the company in full uniform, maintaining a professional image at all times
  • Provide a visible, approachable, and reassuring security presence
  • Conduct regular site patrols and carry out gatehouse duties as required
  • Monitor and control access/egress of staff, visitors, and vehicles, including accurate logging
  • Complete all site documentation in line with operational procedures
  • Assist visitors and enforce site rules in a courteous and consistent manner
  • Follow Site Assignment Instructions (SAIs) precisely
  • Respond to incidents effectively and escalate when necessary
  • Maintain clear and accurate handover notes between shifts
  • Ensure the safety and security of all individuals and property on-site
  • Support operations across multiple client sites as required

Flexibility & Deployment Expectations

  • Be flexible with site locations, duties, and working hours/shifts
  • Provide support for last-minute shift adjustments and operational needs
  • Cover holidays and absences across various sites
  • Be available for a mix of day shifts, night shifts, weekends, and bank holidays
  • Willingness to work shorter shifts where required for events or specific site needs
  • Adapt to a variety of contracts, with both longer and shorter shifts available
  • Commitment to supporting the business across all operational requirements while maintaining agreed working hours over each pay period

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum of 12 months’ experience in a similar security role
  • Valid SIA Front-Line Licence (or proof of completed training)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to provide a 5-year checkable work history in line with BS7858 standards
  • Reliable, professional, and customer-focused approach
  • Adaptable and flexible mindset with a willingness to work across different environments

Shift Patterns

  • Full-Time and Part-Time opportunities available
  • 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays
  • Additional shorter shifts may be available depending on site and event requirements
  • Flexible scheduling designed to support both business needs and agreed working hours

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
