We have an exciting new opportunity for an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join an Urgent Treatment Centre team in Stevenage.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join our Urgent Treatment Centre team in Stevenage. In this role, you will practice autonomously within urgent care, providing high-quality, patient-centred care across acute services.

This role will involve advanced assessment, examination, diagnosis and treatment of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed presentations, within an agreed scope of practice. The post holder will support a modern and efficient model of urgent care delivery, ensuring safe referral and discharge of patients and contributing to service development.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and participate in the clinical care of patients presenting with urgent care needs at the Lister and QEII Urgent Treatment Centres
  • Provide advanced and comprehensive patient assessment based on a specialist body of knowledge
  • Assess, examine, investigate, diagnose and treat patients, ensuring safe management, referral or discharge
  • Manage own clinical caseload and support the supervision and development of junior members of the multidisciplinary team
  • Provide expert clinical advice and act as a specialist resource within the ACP team and wider Trust

You will need:

  • Registered healthcare professional (NMC or HCPC)
  • Qualified Advanced Clinical Practitioner (full MSc)
  • Significant experience in urgent care, emergency care or acute services
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage complex clinical presentations
