We are looking for highly skilled Urgent Care Practitioners to support an out of hours service across operating in the evenings/overnights as well as all day at weekends.

[Employer hidden] has a great opportunity for Urgent Care Practitioners (111) to support an Out of Hours service based in Liverpool.

We are looking for highly skilled Urgent Care Practitioners to support an out of hours service across operating in the evenings/overnights as well as all day at weekends.

The responsibilities of this role is as follows:

  • Liaise with nominated medical/nursing leadership team to provide oversight and co-ordination of patients awaiting contact.
  • Review patients awaiting contact to provide oversight and minimise clinical risk by actively filtering for potential signposting to more appropriate services.
  • Based around a Red Flag approach of triage, prioritise patients in line with the service escalation plans which include the elderly, palliative patients and those who have a risk of deterioration.
  • Apply clinical skills and reasoning to ensure patients and transferred safely between different clinical dispositions and signposting when required and safe to do so.

To apply for this role you need the following qualifications/skills:

  • Degree Clinical Practice
  • Clinical Examination and Diagnostics Level 6 or 7
  • Experience of working in urgent care / primary care or similar setting
  • Experience in emergency health care settings
  • Experience in clinical telephone triage
