What the day will look like

You’ll play a key role in crafting and managing a portfolio of commercial insurance products, with a strong focus on the SME market. Working closely with internal collaborators and insurer partners, you’ll drive product innovation, strengthen market propositions and ensure [Employer hidden]’s solutions continue to deliver meaningful value for clients and colleagues alike. Responsibilities will include:

  • Own and manage a portfolio of commercial insurance products, with primary (but not exclusive) responsibility for SME propositions
  • Build strong, effective relationships with internal collaborators including Advisory, SME broking and client teams, product governance, claims, technical specialists and [Employer hidden] Legal
  • Build and maintain insurer partnerships to ensure optimal outcomes for [Employer hidden] and our clients
  • Lead and support product development and innovation initiatives across the portfolio
  • Clearly articulate the value of [Employer hidden]’s products and solutions to internal colleagues and, ultimately, to clients
  • Use market insight, data and trends to see opportunities, inform decision‑making and keep [Employer hidden]’s propositions competitive and market‑leading

You’ll own and develop a portfolio of products within our Retail Portfolio Solutions team, enhancing existing propositions and supporting the launch of new, innovative solutions. Partnering closely with internal stakeholders and insurer partners, you’ll help shape [Employer hidden]’s market‑leading offering while building your personal brand in a high‑performing, collaborative UK‑wide team.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Strong experience in commercial insurance broking, with a solid understanding of structured portfolio solutions, ideally within the SME and digital trading space
  • Confident user of Acturis with proven experience working across insurer portals
  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder‑engagement skills, able to influence at all levels
  • Comfortable analysing data, interpreting trends and delivering meaningful insight
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, contributing to cross-functional initiatives
  • Deep understanding of product governance, FCA regulation, and a strong attention to detail and quality
