FULL DESCRIPTION

My client is looking for a number of Engine Mechanics to join their successful and well established Aircraft Engine MRO which is currently going through significant growth.

Job Purpose

– This position is key to activities in the workshop to enable work to be completed in line with their customer requirements and expectations while adhering to industry standards

– Be part of a team for all maintenance and repair activities in the workshop

– Currently working on the following engines types CFM56 , LEAP, RB211, V2500CF6, CF34, PW4000, PW1000G and Trent700

Responsibilities and Duties

– Perform engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul tasks within the workshop in compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements

– Support the efficient turnaround of engine shop inputs, ensuring customer expectations and company objectives are met

– Follow approved technical documentation (ESM, CMM, SRM, IPC) to carry out all maintenance tasks to the highest standard

– Assist with near-wing and on-wing field support, as required

– Adhere to company Health & Safety policies, fostering a safe and compliant work environment

– Maintain accuracy and efficiency in all tasks to reduce turnaround times while upholding quality

– Identify technical issues, propose solutions, and implement corrective actions

– Work collaboratively with team leaders, workshop managers, and cross-functional teams to meet operational goals

About you

– Time-served aerospace industry apprenticeship with a minimum of two years’ post-apprenticeship experience

– Previous company approval on at least one of the engine types listed above

– Hands-on experience in a busy engine shop, working on engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul

– Familiarity with engine shop manuals and regulatory standards, including relevant ATA chapters

– Understanding of Part 145 and FAA regulations

– Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

– Borescope inspection experience is desirable

– Current Human Factors training, EWIS Level 1 & 2, and Fuel Tank Safety Level 1 & 2 preferred (training can be provided)

– Forklift license is desirable (training can be arranged)
