HGV & Bus/Coach Technicians - Naas

We know that High-Tech matters but we also know that flexibility matters. So in our Naas depot we now have roles for HGV Technicians with 2 options of working hours. You can choose from a 5 day week 9am-5:30pm Mon-Thurs, 9am-4:30pm Fri or a 4 day week 7am-6pm Mon-Fri plus overtime for both options on Saturday morning. Don't forget we now have direct access to the M7 from our Naas depot through the newly opened junction 9A.

HGV & Bus/Coach Technicians  - Naas

Job Purpose: To provide excellent customer service and deliver high quality maintenance, service, fault diagnosis and repair of PSV & HGVs.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Carry out fault diagnosis, service, maintenance and repair of HGVs & PSVs
  • To carry out road testing and quality control inspections as required
  • To complete all job related paperwork in line with Irish Commercial standards
  • To work within guideline Volvo standard time lines
  • To deliver professional and efficient customer service at all times
  • To work as part of a team, maintaining a good working relationship between colleagues and customers
  • To adhere to correct working procedures, highlighting any errors or safety issues promptly to Management
  • To keep the working area clean and tidy, reporting any Health and Safety issues promptly
  • Report faulty facility / equipment promptly
  • To participate in training and development programmes as required by the Company
  • To undertake any other duties or activities as required
  • 24 Hour callout may be required on a rotation basis for this job role

Skills Profile:

  • 3+ years post HGV apprenticeship experience or equivalent required
  • Proven ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently under challenging time constraints
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer literate
  • Bus & Truck driving licence
