[Employer hidden] is now recruiting for a Transport Planner to join our supportive planning team, situated at our Worcester site. You will be part of a team that plans between 6000-10000 customer deliveries daily, using a fleet of up to 300 vehicles on a daily basis and utilising our Transport Planning Software (Paragon).

Role Responsibility

Reporting into the Network Planning Manager, your duties will include:

  • Ensuring optimal planning of vehicles to meet customer requirements within the given parameters, ensuring adherence to driver’s hours legislation
  • Producing and distributing various reports on planning metrics and key information to operational colleagues
  • Offering solutions to Service Centre colleagues to resolve orders with issues or complaints
  • Planning, inter-depot movements, collections and orders
  • Updating transport systems accurately and in real time as and when changes occur

The Ideal Candidate

With the amount of applications expected for this position, we will only be able to proceed forward with candidates who match our essential requirements stated below:

  • Previous transport planning experience, preferably within a multi-drop environment
  • Paragon planning experience preferable
  • Knowledge and understanding of Driver’s hours legislation
  • Able to work under pressure and prioritise activity
  • Good communication skills
  • Self-starter who is always looking for ways to improve the way we do things
  • Ability to cope with rapid pace of change
  • Can be relied upon to deliver to tight deadlines
  • Good Excel skills and/or knowledge

Package Description

Additional Information

  • Basic hourly rate of £13.36 (equating to an annual salary of £27,788)
  • 10% Shift Allowancefor working PM Shift
  • 40 hoursper week
  • Working hours: 12:30 to 23:00
