The Talent Team Administrator provides a range of administrative support to enable the Talent Team to deliver an efficient and effective, quality- driven, customer-focussed service, ensuring compliance with legislation, policy, and best practice. The Administrator will support our Talent Team with recruitment, onboarding and learning development activities.

Main Responsibilities

This is a varied role which includes:

  • Working closely with our Recruitment Advisor and Learning & Development Manager to support them with day-to-day administration tasks.
  • Being the first point of contact for the Talent team; responding to enquiries, providing first line advice to candidates, hiring managers and other key stakeholders, escalating as necessary.
  • Maintaining and updating relevant systems and spreadsheets.
  • Producing regular statistical reports on Talent information for key stakeholders (e.g. People department, Senior Leadership Team, Executive Team) as required.
  • Monitoring the Recruitment and L&D email account, responding to queries in a timely manner.

Recruitment and Onboarding responsibilities:

  • Posting and maintaining job vacancies via our ATS (Applicant Tracking System).
  • Collation of right to work documentation, issuing of contracts and new starter paperwork.
  • Administering the DBS process (issuing a DBS request, verification and escalation of alerts and appropriate reporting).
  • Retrieving Hiring Manager availability and scheduling interviews.
  • Communicating effectively via phone and email to provide candidates with a seamless experience.
  • Coordinating with the Training Team to schedule new starter inductions.
  • Administering and monitoring system and process workflows to ensure compliance with Recruitment & Onboarding Admin procedures and working closely with the wider People Team to ensure workflows run effectively.
  • Assisting with screening of applicants for interviews.

Learning and Development responsibilities:

  • Assisting the L&D Manager in administering learning and development activities and initiatives through our LMS (Learning Management System).
  • Administering Apprenticeships using the governments Apprenticeship portal.
  • Administering Driver CPC training via the DVSA system and associated tasks.
  • Administration of training matrices, developing these as appropriate in line with business and team needs.
  • Responding to Operational Training requests and scheduling training activity.
  • Resolving L&D queries, escalating where appropriate to the training team and/or third party training providers/suppliers.
  • Assisting the L&D Manager with drafting communication to raise awareness of learning activity.
  • Supporting the training and operational teams with the daily upkeep and long-term development of our training areas and LEAP zones.
