AsBusiness Development Executive, you are responsible for identifying, creating and nurturing business opportunities that align with [Employer hidden]’s strategic objectives. You play a pivotal role in building relationships, driving revenue, and increasing market presence for the organisation. The scope of the role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, tasks, and areas of impact.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation:
  • Proactively identify and generate new leads through various channels, including networking events, social media, referrals, and online research.
  • Qualify leads to ensure alignment with [Employer hidden]’s target audience and strategic objectives.
  • Develop and execute sales plans to meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals.
  • Market Research and Analysis:
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, market gaps, and potential areas of growth for the business.
  • Analyse industry dynamics, competitor activities, and client and customer preferences to inform business development strategies.
  • Relationship Building:
  • Create and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, partners and key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to nurture existing relationships and foster partnerships to drive mutual value.
  • Sales Presentation and Pitching:
  • Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and pitches tailored to the needs of potential clients.
  • Clearly communicate the value proposition and the benefits of our services.
  • Reporting and Analytics:
  • Provide regular business reports and updates on sales performance, pipeline progress and market insights.
  • Analyse data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • General:
  • Communicate clearly so that all team members are aware of your objectives and the standards required, ensuring that these are aligned to both functional and broader business objectives.
  • Define day to day activities, being clear about priorities to ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Accountable for ensuring the quality of the work is at a ‘Professional’ level.
  • Role model positive behaviour, which is in keeping with our values.
  • Engage and build open, honest professional and positive relationships with team members, fellow colleagues, peers, and cross functional stakeholders.
  • Be independent in exercising knowledge without close supervision.
  • Effectively manage time so that deadlines are met.
  • Act upon any feedback from the business development and marketing team.
  • Be responsible for and undertake continual learning and development both informally and formally, ensuring a clear understanding of the business, its competitors and the marketplace.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Sales focused with a desire to learn and develop your skills.
  • Have experience with sales & outbound calling or have a passion to learn!
  • Competency using Microsoft Office programs.
