Commercial Finance Analyst

Main Responsibilities
- Preparation/review of new client pricing proposals, liaising with Business Development Managers and Commercial Managers, providing timely and constructive feedback with regards to commercial adequacy of proposals
- Production of client profitability reviews providing feedback to Business Development Managers and Commercial Managers
- Analysing and reviewing contracts to identify missed revenue opportunities and areas of contract creep.
- Weekly revenue analysis
- Preparing monthly presentations on trading performance, identifying key trends using clear & concise methods
- Consolidating and interpreting datasets from multiple systems and disseminating reports for the commercial and finance team
- Utilisation of systems to drive control and process efficiency.
- Develop and review pricing models.
- Engage with stakeholders across the business to drive revenue growth.
General:
- Exercises professional knowledge on specific fields, seeking advice from your manager where required
- Uses established procedures to solve problems, using own judgement and expertise
- Effectively manages time so that deadlines are met both individually and as a team
- Act upon any feedback from your line manager concerning individual and / or team performance
- Be responsible for and undertake continual learning and development both informally and formally, ensuring a clear understanding of the business and cross functional priorities
The Ideal Candidate
Experience:
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, medium sized transport environment
- At least 1 years’ experience in supervising individuals or teams
Essential Skills and Attributes:
- Ability to work as a team and with moderate supervision
- Strong communication skills
- Strong time management skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities
- Strong eye for detail
- Able to act in a professional manner to the benefit of the company and always maintain confidentiality
Role Specific Requirements:
- Part qualified or qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent)
- Strong analytical skills
- Good communication skills
- Proficient excel skills
- Ability to analyse data and identify trends
- Ability to introduce change effectively
- Experience of building and effectively managing stakeholder relationships
- Self-starter who is always looking for ways to improve the way we do things
- Ability to cope with rapid pace of change
- Can be relied upon to deliver to tight deadlines
