People Operations Lead - Fixed Term Contract 12 months
Location: Remote, with occasional travel to Bristol or Fareham
Premise: Remote / working from home

The Role
You will play a key role in making sure our People processes run effectively, accurately and with the right level of care.
You will lead a team of People Coordinators, support day to day operations, and work closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure everything from onboarding to payroll support runs smoothly.
This role is a mix of leadership, delivery and continuous improvement.
What you will be doing
- Leading and developing a team
- Line manage People Coordinators, including 1:1s and performance reviews
- Support their development and day-to-day delivery
- Provide guidance and technical support across the team
- Driving smooth onboarding & compliance
- Oversee onboarding processes across your business area
- Ensure compliance checks (RTW, DBS, BPSS, references) are completed accurately and on time
- Identify and resolve any delays or issues proactively
- Owning operational excellence
- Act as a key contact for people-related queries
- Support payroll processes (absence, sickness, employee data)
- Maintain high standards of data accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance
- Improving processes & systems
- Be a process champion, always looking for ways to improve efficiency
- Support system usage and data integrity within HR systems
- Work closely with the wider People Team and stakeholders
- Supporting projects & change
- Contribute to key People projects and initiatives
- Support continuous improvement across People Operations
What we are looking for
We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and people-focused, with a strong eye for detail and a passion for improving how things are done.
You will bring:
- Strong administration and organisational skills
- Experience working with HR systems or data
- Confidence working with stakeholders across a business
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- A proactive mindset and a drive to improve processes
It would be great if you also have:
- Previous experience in HR or People Operations
- Experience managing or supporting a team
- CIPD Level 3 (or working towards it)
- Strong Excel skills
