Accounts & Audit Senior responsibilities

  • Prepare complex statutory accounts and financial statements for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring strict compliance with UK GAAP.
  • Lead a select number of audit engagements throughout the year, acting as the senior on-site and managing the process from planning to completion.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, assisting with management accounts, VAT queries, and cloud accounting transitions.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, reviewing their work and supporting their professional growth and qualification journey.

As the successful candidate you will

  • Be ACA or ACCA Qualified (or a Finalist) with a minimum of 36 months of experience in public practice.
  • Possess significant experience in accounts preparation alongside a solid working knowledge of audit procedures.
  • Be proficient in modern accounting software such as Xero, Quickbooks, or Sage.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to client service and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
