FULL DESCRIPTION

Packing and Dispatch Operative

Pack and prepare finished products ready for dispatch. Responsibilities include packing, labeling, gathering materials, ensuring quality, maintaining equipment, and preparing products for dispatch. The role is a 3-month temp to perm contract with a target driven bonus.

Main purposes of job:

Pack and prepare finished products ready for dispatch

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Packing finished products in polythene plastic and boxes.
  • Labelling finished items with courier labels, product and branding labels, delivery notes.
  • Gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
  • Ensuing quality standards of finished products are met. Verify specifications by measuring complete components.
  • Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies.
  • Prepare products for dispatch and arrange collection from carrier.
  • Deliver and install products at customer addresses
  • Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Reporting to:

Departmental Supervisor and Production Manager

Further Information:

  • 1.5x overtime for hours worked over 38 hours per week
  • Target driven bonus
  • Contract type – 3 months temp to perm contract
  • Working Hours – 38 hours per week
  • Monday to Thursday – 7am to 4pm
  • Friday – 7am to 11am (overtime normally allocated after standard hours Friday)
  • Paid 10 minute morning and afternoon break
  • Unpaid 30 minute lunch break
