EYFS Nursery Class Teacher job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Nursery Class Teacher to join our Early Years team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and a passion for supporting young children in their learning and development.
You will lead a Nursery class, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning through play-based, child-centred approaches.
You will play a key role in creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework
- Support children’s development across all areas of learning
- Observe, assess, and track children’s progress, maintaining accurate records
- Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes wellbeing
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers
- Ensure safeguarding and welfare requirements are fully met at all times
- Support children’s transition into Reception or the next stage of learning
