Job role: - Administration, HR, data and finance
Visa sponsorship: Visas cannot be sponsored
Working pattern: Part time: 4 hours per day, 9am to 1pm, Monday to Friday, term time only.
Contract type: Fixed term - Initially 2 months to cover a period of staff absence
Full-time equivalent salary: Barnet Unified Award Grade B, pay range is £30,717 to £31,158 FTE
Actual salary: Actual gross salary £15,010 to £15,225 per annum
What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for someone who:
- Has significant office administration experience, ideally in a school setting
- Is confident using Microsoft Office, MIS systems and other digital tools
- Communicates clearly and professionally and builds positive relationships with families and staff
- Can multitask, stay calm under pressure and prioritise their workload effectively
- Understands confidentiality, safeguarding and data protection responsibilities
- Is organised, proactive and committed to delivering exceptional customer service
A First Aid qualification is desirable but not essential.

St Catherine’s Catholic Primary School is seeking a professional, organised and friendly Office Administrator to join our busy and welcoming school office. As the first point of contact for parents, visitors and the wider community, you will play a key role in ensuring our school office operates smoothly and efficiently.
At St Catherine’s, you will be part of a supportive and dedicated team who work collaboratively to provide an excellent experience for our children and families. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied workload and wants to make a meaningful difference within a school community.
In this varied and rewarding position, you will:
- Provide a warm, professional front-of-house service to pupils, parents, staff and visitors
- Manage day‑to‑day communications including phone, email and app enquiries
- Maintain accurate school information systems and adhere to GDPR and safeguarding procedures
- Oversee ParentPay administration, after‑school club bookings and event management systems
- Support senior leaders with correspondence, reports and general administration
- Assist with school trips administration, Parent Governor elections and record keeping
