School Premises Manager
We require a premises manager to join our team to maintain our school building and environment.
Required from ASAP- 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday 6.30am - 9.30am with 1 hour monthly Letting on a Friday. 52 weeks per year (flexibility offered around hours in non term term to suit the needs of the school)
Purpose of the Job: To ensure that the School premises are maintained in accordance with the School/LA standards and methods .

The role will involve:
The Premises Manager has overall responsibility for the safe, secure and efficient management of the school site, premises and facilities. The role ensures that the environment is well maintained, compliant with statutory requirements and supports the effective delivery of education. This includes leading and managing the cleaning team, overseeing contractors and suppliers and planning long-term improvements to the school environment in collaboration with the School Business Manager and Headteacher.
The main purpose of the role:
- To ensure the school site, buildings and grounds are maintained to a high standard, safe and fit for purpose at all times.
- To lead on the planning, implementation and monitoring of rolling maintenance and ensuring proactive and cost-effective site management.
- To manage premises-related contracts and suppliers in collab with the School Business Manager and Headteacher, including sourcing quotes in line with the school’s procurement policy.
- To ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and school policies, carrying out statutory checks, audits and risk assessments as required.
- To provide professional advice and recommendations to senior leaders on site improvement, compliance and long-term development.
