We are looking to appoint a Student Support Assistant to support the running of our House Office. A great chance to work with a strong, fun enthusiastic team, providing administrative and pastoral support to the house leadership and promote positive behaviour of all students.

Salary: Grade 7, Points 12-19 (Meridian Trust), £24,561- £27,535 actual (£28,598-£32,061 FTE)

Hours of work: 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, Term Time + Training Days

We are looking to appoint a Student Support Assistant to support the running of our House Office. A great chance to work with a strong, fun enthusiastic team, providing administrative and pastoral support to the house leadership and promote positive behaviour of all students.

The opportunity

  • Support the House Office with student attendance and punctuality.
  • Administrative support for the House Office.
  • Attend regular meetings with external agencies to provide the best support for students.
  • Maintain a good relationship with parents and act as first point of call for parental enquiries.
  • Assist the Assistant Principal, Senior Tutor, and Tutors in effectively implementing the behaviour management programmes for students 

The ideal candidate

  • Good educational background with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience of administration background, education and working with young people
  • Positive and enthusiastic approach with the ability to work within a team as well as on own initiative.
  • Knowledge of the need for confidentiality and awareness of child protection issues
  • Flexibility of working hours, committed and reliable with excellent timekeeping
