The Governors of [Employer hidden] are looking to appoint 2 part-time Cleaners to start as soon as possible. The successful applicant will be reliable, able to work on his or her own initiative as well as being able to work as part of a team.
2 x Afternoon Cleaners: 2:45pm to 6pm Monday to Friday (16 hours per week)
The Governors of [Employer hidden] are looking to appoint a TWO part-time Cleaner to start as soon as possible. The successful applicant will be reliable, able to work on his or her own initiative as well as being able to work as part of a team.
Afternoon Cleaner: 2:45pm to 6pm Monday to Thursday and 2.45pm to 5.45pm Friday (16 hours per week)
44 weeks a year but during the school holidays the cleaning team complete a clean-down on specified days in which they work their hours over a blocked period. You will not be able to take holidays during term time and when the holiday clean-downs take place.
The post is permanent subject to a satisfactory references and probationary period. The salary range for this post is Grade 2 £24,413 actual salary for hours/weeks £10276. - £10,509 (£12.65 an hour.)

Undertake the cleaning of designated areas within the School.
General Tasks
- To clean areas of the establishment as directed by the Cleaning Supervisor or Site Manager to ensure that the areas are kept in a clean and hygienic condition.
- Duties will include cleaning, washing, sweeping, vacuum cleaning, emptying of litter bins, polishing and dusting of the areas, which may include toilets, shower areas, fixtures and fittings, using, where appropriate, powered equipment.
- To operate cleaning machinery in accordance with instructions and report faulty machinery and equipment to the Site Manager.
- To dilute and use cleaning materials as instructed under COSHH.
- To collect and remove waste/rubbish from work area to collection point as directed.
- To clean and maintain cleaning equipment as instructed.
- To observe and comply with the Health and Safety Policy and Code of Practice for cleaning staff.
- To comply with instructions relating to security and confidentiality.
- To attend training sessions when requested
Notwithstanding the detail in this job description the job holder will undertake such work as may be determined by the Cleaning Supervisor from time to time, up to or at a level consistent with the principal responsibilities of the job.
