We are looking for an experienced payroll professional to join our core trust team as a Senior Payroll Advisor.

You will hold a recognised CIPP payroll management qualification or have equivalent experience and have managed a large payroll within an education setting. You will be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of payroll and pensions legislation together with an understanding of teacher and support staff terms and conditions, and be able to apply those to resolve payroll queries from our 36 schools.
The post holder will report to our Payroll & Pensions Manager and the key duties include:
- Providing timely, expert advice on payroll and pensions queries to the school HR & Finance Officers, acting as a super-user for our HRIS and training new users across the Trust.
- Maintaining accurate guidance documents, pay tables and pay calculators and ensuring trust-wide compliance with agreed ways of working for payroll and pensions administration
- Supervising the payroll / pensions officer to ensure Core Trust payroll and Trust pensions queries and submissions are done in a timely manner
- Using your IT skills to extract and utilise payroll data to support the work of the wider HR team
