Thank you for your interest in this post. We are looking for a permanent Building Services Manager to join our dedicated and hard-working federated site team. This position will be based on the Victoria School/Victoria College campus (Northfield).

The successful candidate will be a committed, reliable and self-motivated person, who is able to form positive relationships with a range of stakeholders. As the Building Services Manager you will work closely with the Site Manager and share responsibility for the security, safety, maintenance and cleanliness of the estate ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for our whole school/college community. This role will include co-ordination and management of external contractors and a requirement to undertake reactive repairs and maintenance across the campus.

Key Requirements

Be hard-working and flexible and able to meet the physical demands detailed in the job description

Able to demonstrate the practical skills required to be able to undertake a range of general grounds maintenance, decorating, repairs and property maintenance issues

The ability to communicate and work effectively as part of a wider team

Responsibility for key holding and responding to out of hours alarm call-outs (on occasion) is a requirement of the position therefore a flexible approach to work hours is needed. Although based at the Victoria campus the successful candidate would be required to support other nearby settings in the federation when required.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
