Early Years Teaching Assistant job summary
We are seeking to appoint an Early Years Teaching Assistant NVQ level 2/3 qualification who will work within our Pre School class to cover on a fixed term contract until April 2027 within the classroom. The successful candidate will be as part of a supportive team to ensure the care of individual or groups of children, to support their learning and development and ensure their safety. Experience of working with children aged 3-5 years old and excellent communication skills are essential.
The role is varied and will involve:
- Assisting with the care of children in the pre school class
- Encouraging and supporting children’s development
- Support the class teacher to organise and support different activities (role play and story time etc)
- Encouraging exploration
- Support children's language development
- The ability to engage and build strong relationships with children
- Observe and complete relevant paper work
