- Unqualified or Qualified teacher status

- Successful primary teaching experience
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum

What the school offers its staff
The devolved leadership structure of the Extended Leadership Team, which includes the SLT, AHTs and the Business Support Manager, means that working in teams for support and workload is paramount. As a four-form entry school, all of our teachers work in teams of four teachers, one of whom is the Year Lead who works to support all teachers. Our Curriculum is also supported by schemes to reduce workload. As a year group, the team share workload to support wellbeing, in areas such as shared planning, extra-curricular activities, resources, displays and other tasks.
We offer a wide ranging internal CPD program for all staff and have a SEND and FLO team who can also support with bespoke CPD for SEND and Pastoral needs.
Workload and wellbeing at William Harding
The SLT take wellbeing and workload very seriously and this is clear in the work we do towards supporting staff. We pride ourselves on our wellbeing offer at William Harding and it is our mission to support the workload and wellbeing of all staff. Some of the things we offer include;
- • Workload and wellbeing committee to raise and discuss wellbeing ideas
- • Workload and wellbeing trials to test ideas before rolling out across the school Our School Values are: Inclusion, Perseverance, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility and Collaboration.
- • Open door policy with line managers, ELT and SLT
- • Onsite staff counsellor
- • External support including EAP and OH
- • Wellbeing focus and opportunities in training and staff meetings

Other staff to support you
- • Each year group has a Lead Teacher who line manages and supports the teachers in that year group
- • The FLO (Family Liaison Officer) team are around to support you managing pupils pastoral needs and attendance as well as our School Counsellor
- • The SEND team offer support and guidance and work with pupils
- • The ELT (Extended Leadership Team) work across Year groups to support staff
- • The Support Administrator will liaise with parents on your behalf, support you with admin and lead on organising trips
- • The AHTs can also support with behaviour, parents and events and other areas of your role
