Hours: Full time - 37 hours Monday to Friday - Term time + (41 working weeks) Term time + 2 weeks + inset days

Contract: Permanent

Salary grade: (Actual Salary) Grade N - £31,136.60 - 35,402.80

Please note this role has travel between school locations - a vehicle will be required.

In this pivotal role, you will work closely with the Director of Governance to ensure our governance frameworks, processes, and documentation meet all statutory, regulatory, and best-practice standards. We are looking for a candidate who can:

  • Support the development, effectiveness and consistency of Local Governance Committees across the Trust, working closely with Chairs, Headteachers and the Director of Governance
  • Provide professional advice and guidance to LGC Chairs and members on governance roles, responsibilities, constitutional matters and effective practice.
  • Act as Clerk to a defined number of Local Governance Committees, providing a professional, high-quality clerking service.
  • Support the Director of Governance in providing assurance to Trustees and senior leaders that local governance arrangements are effective and compliant
  • Provide advice and practical support on complex or sensitive governance matters at local level, including, exclusion panels.
  • Work closely with the Director of Governance to develop governance documentation, templates, guidance and training materials.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development in governance, clerking and regulatory compliance.
