Level 2 Teaching Assistant

The school is a special school for pupils aged between 3 and 19 with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities including autism. Teaching assistants have a key role in supporting pupils to access the curriculum and engage in learning.

Working pattern: Full time: Hours of Work: 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday OR 17.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (please state preference in application)
Contract type: Permanent
Pay scale: Grade 2 £24,796 - £26,824 Pro Rata
Additional allowances: SEN Allowance - £1,722 Pro Rata
What skills and experience we're looking for
[Employer hidden] is looking for positive and flexible Level 2 teaching assistants to join our growing team. Our school is a special school for 315 pupils aged between 3 and 19 with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities including autism.
The school is split across two sites - Wheeler Street in Lozells (co-located with Holte School and Lozells Junior and Infant School and Nursery) and Heathfield Road in Handsworth. This position could be based on either site, working with pupils of any age and with a range of different types of special educational needs and disabilities.
