[Employer hidden] is seeking a highly capable School Business Manager to join our friendly and dedicated team. This is a key role within the school, providing leadership across finance, HR administration, office systems, premises compliance, health and safety, ICT operations and wider business support functions.

As our School Business Manager, you will play a vital part in the smooth running of the school—helping us create the best possible environment for staff to work and pupils to thrive.

About the Role

You will:

  • Lead day-to-day financial operations and contribute to budget monitoring and value-for-money processes
  • Coordinate recruitment, HR administration, induction and absence management
  • Line-manage the administrative team and oversee efficient school-wide systems
  • Provide daily leadership to the premises team, ensuring the estate is safe, compliant and well-maintained
  • Lead statutory compliance processes, including health and safety, data returns and safeguarding records
  • Act as the operational lead for MIS and digital systems
  • Manage lettings, community partnerships and support wider extended services
  • Be a key member of the school’s operational leadership, contributing to whole-school effectiveness

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has strong skills in finance, HR administration and operational leadership
  • Brings experience supervising staff and coordinating workloads
  • Understands school systems or has experience in a similar setting
  • Shows confidence in managing compliance, health and safety and premises processes
  • Communicates clearly, professionally and warmly with a wide range of people
  • Works flexibly, calmly and efficiently under pressure
  • Upholds the highest standards of integrity, confidentiality and safeguarding

Relevant qualifications (e.g., business administration, HR, finance, ISBL/NASBM Level 4) are welcomed, and ongoing professional development is fully supported.
