Are you passionate about great food and creating a positive, welcoming dining experience for children? St Cuthbert’s Catholic Primary School, Crook is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Cook in Charge to lead our school kitchen and make a real difference every day.

Full-time equivalent salary: £15,398.89 - £15,736.58 Annually (Actual)

25 hours per week, term time only + 3 days

What You’ll Do

As our Cook in Charge, you will:

  • Lead the daily running of a busy, friendly school kitchen
  • Prepare high-quality, nutritious meals that children genuinely enjoy
  • Supervise and inspire kitchen staff
  • Maintain excellent food hygiene and safety practices
  • Manage stock, ordering and budgets effectively

  • Has a passion for food and takes pride in delivering great service
  • Is a confident leader who can motivate and support a small team
  • Is organised, proactive and able to manage a fast-paced kitchen
  • Brings experience from a similar catering or supervisory role
