Play Worker job summary

[Employer hidden], part of L.E.A.D. Academy Trust, is seeking a caring and reliable Playworker (Lunchtime Supervisor) to join our friendly team. This role is vital in supporting our pupils during the lunchtime period, ensuring a safe, happy, and inclusive environment both in the dining hall and on the playground. This role is for 10 hrs a week - 11.30am-1.30pm Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supervising children in the dining hall, playground, and around the school site during lunchtime
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and play, helping pupils to develop social skills
  • Promoting the school’s values and safeguarding the welfare of all pupils
  • Assisting with minor first aid (training provided)
  • Ensuring the lunchtime period runs smoothly and safely

We are looking for someone who:

  • Enjoys working with children and is approachable, patient, and kind
  • Has good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Is reliable, punctual, and committed to supporting the school community
  • Will promote inclusion and respect across all groups of pupils
