What skills and experience we're looking for
[Employer hidden] is looking for an enthusiastic and SEND Officer to join a school that makes a genuine difference to its students and supports its staff to achieve their individual goals. The SEND Officer is a new position that will play a vital role in supporting the SENCO in leading the provision for SEND and help plan initiatives and deputise for the SENCO in matters relating to SEND. This role will involve liaising with multiple external agencies and stakeholders to ensure that individual SEND targets and the requirements of EHCPs are met fully. This vacancy would suit an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about working with students with special needs, supporting them to develop from both an academic and social perspective. The successful candidate should have experience of working with students with educational needs, be proficient in computer literacy and committed to undertaking CPD relevant to the post. English and Maths GCSE grade A-C are essential, supporting qualifications in SENCO are highly desirable.
