What skills and experience we're looking for
- PGCE qualification or equivalent
- Education to degree level or equivalent
- Competence in the use of ICT
- SEND Qualification or CPD (desirable)
- Experience in working with young people with SEND
- Experience of working with students with Communication & Interaction needs and ASC (desirable)
- Experience in working in an educational setting
- Confident in dealing with young people and understanding young minds
- Ability to command and show respect
- Experience in leadership (desirable)
- Experience in working to an agreed performance level and taking part in performance review
- Ability to be an effective team player
- Excellent personal and social skills
- Ability to show initiative and flexibility
- Positive and caring approach to students

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent full-time Specialist Provision Lead to join our team in September 2026. We are looking for someone with enthusiasm, imagination and commitment to providing the best quality education and support for pupils, primarily in our small specialist unit.
The provision will cater for a maximum of 21 pupils across the primary age range and will be specifically for children with additional communication and interaction needs, including those who have conditions on the autism spectrum. The provision is designed to support pupils who would benefit from the facilities and resources of a mainstream primary school, alongside providing specialist accommodation, education and pastoral care.
The successful applicant will need to have:
