[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk], a software & data company in Bristol, seeks a Technical Project Manager to lead projects, manage hardware, and engage in on-site engineering work. Responsibilities include project planning, documentation, hardware management, sensor integration, on-site activities, and client relationship building. About the Role

We work with large industrial clients focussing on maximising value from site and environmental data using IoT to optimise asset usage, reduce environmental emissions and minimise exposure to pollution by personnel. Our clients are across ports, rail, construction and healthcare. 

We are looking for someone to join our team to run point on projects, lead our hardware management and actively engage in on-site engineering work, bringing technical expertise directly to our project locations.

Key responsibilities

  • Craft and execute detailed project plans in line with the agreed scope of work, aligning with client goals and operational requirements
  • Ownership of project documentation, including risk assessments, statement of work, change requests and project plans
  • Overseeing asset inventory and determining hardware needs for projects
  • Understanding our in house software and using it to manage IoT sensors
  • Research and integrate new sensors, managing supplier relationships to ensure project needs are met
  • Lead on-site activities, including sensor installations and maintenance
  • Maintain essential PPE and equipment, readying our team for successful project execution
  • Building relationships and friendly rapport whilst on-site, behaving professionally, building trust and confidence with clients
  • Bringing a safety-driven culture and mindset to site, behaving competently, carrying out works safely and taking pride in your work.

Requirements

  • Proven organisational skills, passionate about delivering results, ensuring timeliness and budget adherence showing the aptitude to become an expert project manager.
  • Dedicated to promoting excellence, safety, and sustainability across all facets of your work
  • You build real relationships with clients - interactions with [Employer hidden] should be the highlight of their day and clients trust you to work in their interest
  • Technical competence and an ability to learn quickly - we can teach you the technical skills required
  • You are determined and personally care - you work to make things right and lead by example
  • A safe professional and personable attitude on-site. We work in complex environments with large machinery and it is vital you behave safely. We will also provide safety training
  • Demonstrable professional experience, ideally in a project management or similar role
  • UK driver’s licence - you will need to travel to sites around the country
