Audio & Visual Technician

About the role:

Blackpool Pleasure Beach is one of the UK’s leading attractions, with a wealth of rides and attractions. We are currently seeking an Audio & Visual Technician in our Pleasure Beach Studios department, to help maintain and develop sound, lighting, animations and effects within our famous attractions.

The work is varied with tasks ranging from installation to fault-finding, as well as repair and refurbishment work within our rides, attractions and features.

Alongside the rest of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring sound, lighting, animations and effects within our attractions are maintained to the highest standards through scheduled maintenance and regular inspections.

• Self-motivated with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
• Ability to prioritise and manage own workload.
• Be able to work effectively even with short-term deadlines.
• Ability to think logically, with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Be able to communicate clearly in writing and orally to management when required.
• Willingness to undertake staff training and development as required.
• Flexible with time and able to work weekends/bank holidays as and when required.

Skills:

• Previous experience with Audio & Visual/Lighting/Animatronics preferable.
• Understanding of DMX, Dante and 100v line sound systems advantageous.

• 8-hour shift plus weekend availability.
• You must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
• Ability to commute/relocate to Blackpool.
