About the Role

Technical Manager

A fantastic opportunity to lead a London heritage project with a leading residential and mixed-use developer. This is a fantastic project with the opportunity to manage a combined project of refurbishment and new build on an amazing listed building.

You will be an experienced Technical Manager with heritage experience and have the responsibility for overseeing the technical delivery of the project through to completion. You will ensure compliance with building regulations, manage the design process, and support project teams in delivering safe, high-quality, and sustainable development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the design process through all project stages
  • Review and approve technical designs, specifications, and construction methods
  • Coordinate external consultants and contractor design teams
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, warranties, and certification requirements
  • Promote buildability, value engineering, and quality control
  • Support health, safety, and environmental best practice
  • Act as a key technical point of contact for internal and external stakeholders

Skills & Experience

  • Listed building experience essential
  • Experience of liaising and dealing with heritage officers
  • 6+ years’ experience in a Technical Manager
  • Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and industry standards
  • Experience delivering projects on time, within budget, and to high quality
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills
