The Role

As Finance Director, you will act as the critical link between Group strategy and the UK real estate market. You will lead on capital strategy, financing, and M&A execution, driving high-value transactions while ensuring alignment with long-term investment objectives.

You will oversee the full transaction lifecycle from origination and structuring through to execution and post-investment optimisation while developing a strong network across the UK and European financial ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate Group strategy into executable UK financing and investment plans
  • Align capital deployment with market conditions, regulatory frameworks, and opportunity flow
  • Source and structure financing solutions across senior debt, mezzanine, JV equity, and forward funding
  • Build relationships with banks, lenders, funds, and institutional capital providers
  • Identify and evaluate UK real estate investment opportunities (assets, platforms, distressed situations)
  • Lead valuation, structuring, due diligence, negotiation, and transaction closing
  • Manage relationships with advisors including investment banks, law firms, and consultants
  • Monitor market trends, interest rates, regulatory changes, and competitor activity
  • Provide actionable insights to inform investment and financing strategy
  • Conduct comprehensive risk analysis across legal, tax, financial, and market dimensions
  • Develop mitigation strategies to support robust decision-making
  • Coordinate cross-border teams and drive transaction processes end-to-end
  • Optimise capital structures post-acquisition (refinancing, equity restructuring, exits)
  • Monitor investment performance to maximise returns and efficiency

About You

  • 10+ years’ experience in UK/European real estate finance, investment, or M&A
  • Proven track record across development finance, structured lending, joint ventures, and acquisitions
  • Extensive understanding of UK real estate capital markets and financing structures
  • Strong financial modelling, valuation, and risk assessment capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to lead transactions from origination through to closing
  • Established network across lenders, investors, advisors, and financial institutions
  • Strong knowledge of UK regulatory, tax, and compliance frameworks
  • Able to operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a early stage venture with high-impact role with strategic influence and autonomy. The opportunity to shape the platform, team, and investment approach from inception.
