As an IT Project Engineer, you’ll be joining a well-established, employee-owned technology business that has built long-standing relationships with its clients over decades. This is a chance to work across a wide variety of projects – from cloud migrations and infrastructure upgrades to modern workplace solutions – all within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

What the IT Project Engineer Will Do:

  • Lead IT projects end-to-end, from requirements gathering and solution design to implementation, testing and handover
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing clear updates and building strong relationships – this will include some travel to customer sites
  • Design and deliver infrastructure and cloud-based solutions tailored to client needs
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and to a high standard
  • Document solutions and maintain strong project governance throughout
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across systems and networks
  • Translate technical concepts into clear, understandable language for non-technical stakeholders

The Technology Environment & What You Need:

This is a hands-on technical role in a modern IT environment, working across cloud, infrastructure, networking and security. They’re looking for someone with a background in Project Engineering or 3rd Line Support who enjoys solving problems, communicating with clients and delivering high-quality solutions.

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, including networking, storage, backup and disaster recovery
  • Solid Microsoft 365 administration across security, identity, compliance, Exchange Online and Teams
  • Experience delivering IT projects end-to-end (design, implementation and handover)
  • Experience deploying and migrating Windows Server and hybrid cloud environments
  • Good understanding of networking (LAN/WAN, switching, routing, firewalls)
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Microsoft certification (Associate level or higher preferred)
  • Experience working for a Managed Service Provider is advantageous
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to obtain Security Clearance
