What's on Offer

• £300–£330 per day – your rate depends on your qualifications
• Monday to Friday – 44.5 hours per week, with a consistent and predictable schedule. Weekend work available.
• Ongoing temporary contract – long-term work with no immediate end date in sight
• Varied, hands-on role – no two days the same, working both inside and outside a live substation environment
• Work on nationally significant infrastructure – contribute to projects that really matter

What You'll Be Doing

• Operating both inside and outside a live substation
• Overseeing the installation of chippings and Type 3 to level
• Managing concrete works, remedial works, and bagging activities
• Installing ducts and drawpits
• Carrying out excavation works for earthing
• Managing lifting procedures for lighting column installation

What You Must Have

• ✅ National Grid Persons accreditation – this is an absolute requirement; applications cannot be considered without it

Useful Additional Tickets

Whilst not essential, the following qualifications are highly valued on this project and will strengthen your application:

• HSG47 Cat 1 & 2 *(required for certain positions on site)*
• Slinging & Signalling
• PVM / Banksman
• 360 Excavator *(with lifting operations)*
• Forward Tipping Dumper (FTD)
• Roller
