Race mechanic Full-Season Role
[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is looking for a competent and confident Race Mechanic to join our team for the upcoming season.
This is a hands-on paddock role responsible for the preparation and running of two race bikes throughout the weekend:
- One Sportsbike class machine
- One Superstock machine
Role Responsibilities: You will be fully responsible for keeping both bikes race-ready at all times, including:
- Tyres: selection, condition, pressures, and changes
- Brakes: inspection, maintenance, and performance
- Fuel management
- Suspension setup based on rider feedback
- Ensuring both bikes are safe, compliant, and ready for every session
- Working closely with the riders and data technician to achieve optimal setup and performance
- Fast turnarounds between sessions when needed
- Maintaining a professional, calm approach under race weekend pressure
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience working on race or track bikes
- Confident working independently on two machines
- Strong mechanical knowledge
- Able to take responsibility for bike condition and safety
- Good communication with riders and engineers
- Organised, reliable, and able to work long paddock days
- BSB / race paddock experience is a big bonus (but not essential if you’re capable)
