Job Role

To oversee your region to provide accurate and timely accounts and analysis to enable group businesses to make quick and informed decisions, leading and supporting your direct reports. To support the Group Financial Controller and wider Operations team on all finance matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing your designated region and responsible management accountants in your preparation and reporting of monthly management accounts with appropriate commentary and analysis where required.
  • Review and completion of the monthly group management accounts by the agreed deadlines to the Group Financial Controller for review.
  • Responsibility for the line management and support of the designated management accountants in your region.
  • Being a valued business partner with the Operations team to support and assist in making business decisions
  • To ensure balance sheets and cashflows are accurate and reconciled.
  • To provide appropriate additional analysis to support the accounts and any ad hoc analysis as required.
  • To assist in completion accounting following acquisitions.
  • To assist in the year end audit and provide supporting schedules.
  • To assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
  • To suggest and implement improvements to the financial reporting process

Skills

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong IT skills including ability to develop Business and Microsoft applications
  • Confident and capable communicator of finance matters across the organisation
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions.
  • Able to work as part of a team and alone.
