An opportunity has arisen for an experienced CNC Turner to join a precision engineering environment producing high-quality components supplied to the aviation and aerospace sectors. This role is suited to a skilled machinist who is confident working independently and capable of producing precision parts to high standards.

OverviewAn opportunity has arisen for an experienced CNC Turner to join a precision engineering environment producing high-quality components supplied to the aviation and aerospace sectors. This role is suited to a skilled machinist who is confident working independently and capable of producing precision parts to high standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC turning machines using Fanuc controls
  • Manufacture precision components to tight tolerances for aerospace-related applications
  • Interpret engineering drawings and follow technical specifications
  • Work independently to manage machining tasks and meet production targets
  • Maintain quality standards and ensure accurate inspection of machined parts
  • Support continuous improvement in machining processes and efficiency

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in CNC turning with strong knowledge of Fanuc controls
  • Ability to work under your own initiative in a busy manufacturing environment
  • Experience producing precision engineered components to tight tolerances
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and machining processes

Desirable Experience

  • Experience with twin spindle lathes with Y-axis capabilities and driven tooling
  • Familiarity with machining centres such as Haas and Doosan
  • Experience operating sliding head lathes
  • CAD/CAM programming experience (training available if required)

Training & DevelopmentTraining can be provided in areas where further development is identified, including CAD/CAM and additional machine capabilities.
