Stock Controller – manufacturing / production environment

Location : Diss Monday to Friday : 37.5 hour week – finish early on a Friday Salary : starting at £26K up to £28K depending on experience Excellent benefits including: On site parking, Group pension with employer putting in 6%, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, Life Assurance, Death in Service benefit, access to a rewards platform which includes large range of discounts with retailers, reward & recognition scheme, free refreshments and fruit. Key Responsibilities as a Stock Controller

  • Accurately pick and pack kits for production and customer orders
  • Ensure all orders are dispatched on time and meet quality standards
  • Organise and manage national and international shipments
  • Liaise with couriers and logistics providers to meet deadlines
  • Resolve any transport or delivery issues efficiently
  • Receive and inspect incoming deliveries
  • Check goods against purchase orders and delivery documentation
  • Report and resolve discrepancies or damaged items promptly
  • Carry out regular perpetual cycle counts
  • Investigate stock variances and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain high levels of stock accuracy at all times
  • Train and support warehouse staff in stock control procedures
  • Promote accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve stock control and warehouse processes
  • Contribute to efficiency gains and cost-effective operations

Knowledge, Skills & Experience required for this Stock Controller role

  • Proven experience in stock control (electronics or motorsport sectors desirable)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management systems
  • Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to resolving discrepancies
  • Solid literacy and numeracy skills for accurate data handling and reporting
  • Methodical and analytical approach to problem-solving
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles
