FULL DESCRIPTION
Stock Controller – manufacturing / production environment
Location : Diss Monday to Friday : 37.5 hour week – finish early on a Friday Salary : starting at £26K up to £28K depending on experience Excellent benefits including: On site parking, Group pension with employer putting in 6%, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, Life Assurance, Death in Service benefit, access to a rewards platform which includes large range of discounts with retailers, reward & recognition scheme, free refreshments and fruit. Key Responsibilities as a Stock Controller
- Accurately pick and pack kits for production and customer orders
- Ensure all orders are dispatched on time and meet quality standards
- Organise and manage national and international shipments
- Liaise with couriers and logistics providers to meet deadlines
- Resolve any transport or delivery issues efficiently
- Receive and inspect incoming deliveries
- Check goods against purchase orders and delivery documentation
- Report and resolve discrepancies or damaged items promptly
- Carry out regular perpetual cycle counts
- Investigate stock variances and implement corrective actions
- Maintain high levels of stock accuracy at all times
- Train and support warehouse staff in stock control procedures
- Promote accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve stock control and warehouse processes
- Contribute to efficiency gains and cost-effective operations
Knowledge, Skills & Experience required for this Stock Controller role
- Proven experience in stock control (electronics or motorsport sectors desirable)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management systems
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to resolving discrepancies
- Solid literacy and numeracy skills for accurate data handling and reporting
- Methodical and analytical approach to problem-solving
- Commitment to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles
