About the Role

As a Sales Support Advisor, you’ll be the friendly, knowledgeable voice our customers trust when choosing energy solutions. Your work will support EDF’s journey towards An Electric Britain, helping customers understand their options while delivering great sales outcomes and compliant service.

You’ll join us on a salary starting of £26,000 per annum with the potential to earn commission based on meeting targets. This role is based at our #Doxford office in Sunderland. You’ll work full time onsite during your training period, then you’re up to speed in the role, you’ll have the option to move to a hybrid setup of three days a week in the office and two days working from home.

You’ll develop your sales capability in a supportive, target-focused environment where learning is shared and progress is encouraged. From building confidence in closing sales to supporting customers with different needs, your contribution will help EDF deliver better outcomes for more people.

Who You Are

We’re looking for a Sales Support Advisor who enjoys working to targets, puts customers first and builds strong connections through confident conversations. To be shortlisted, you need to offer…

  • Proven sales experience with a track record of working to targets
  • Strong knowledge of the energy industry within a sales environment
  • Confidence identifying key customer information and using it to close sales
  • Experience supporting customers with different needs, including vulnerable customers
  • Clear communication skills used effectively in a sales-focused role
  • Experience working within a team-based sales environment

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Handling inbound customer calls and uncovering sales opportunities
  • Explaining products, tariffs and terms in clear, simple language
  • Closing compliant sales and accurately processing them on internal systems
  • Working towards individual and team sales targets
  • Sharing best practice and contributing to team performance
