Hours: Full time, Part time

Salary: Up to £30,000 (dependent on experience)

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our established nursing team across our four-site small animal practice.

This role offers the opportunity to work within a well-equipped and supportive clinical environment, with exposure to a varied caseload and involvement in a wide range of nursing duties.

You will be required to work across branches, with some sole nursing depending on the rota.

Clinical Responsibilities and Development

We actively encourage our nurses to utilise their full skill set and take an active role in patient care. The role includes:

  • Involvement in anaesthesia, imaging (including radiography), and inpatient care
  • Opportunities to carry out nurse consultations
  • Support and encouragement to undertake Schedule 3 procedures
  • Exposure to visiting specialists, including orthopaedics and cardiology

Working Environment

The group consists of four branches, employing over 45 staff, including a large team of RVNs, student nurses, and patient care assistants. The working environment is collaborative, with a focus on maintaining high clinical standards and supporting colleagues across all roles.

Work Pattern

  • Weekday shifts between 8:00am and 6:45pm
  • 1 in 4 Saturdays (8:45am – 4:45pm)
  • Currently no Sunday or bank holiday working
  • No out-of-hours (OOH) requirements (covered by Vets Now)
