Senior Care Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

- Creation of personalised care plans and performing risk assessments.

- Completing and monitoring medication administration record (MAR) sheets.

- Recording and monitoring of daily care notes.

- Supporting residents to attend appointments and partake in community activities.

- Encouraging and promoting independence amongst our residents.

- Administering medication and maintaining accurate records.

- Providing nutritional support, including meal preparation.

- Performing household duties to maintain a clean and comfortable living environment.

- Assisting residents with personal care needs such as bathing, dressing, oral care, and toileting.

- Assisting with mobility, employing aids such as hoists and standing aids as required.

- Providing companionship to enhance the emotional well-being of our residents.

- Safeguarding residents and ensuring a high standard of well-being.

- Effectively communicating with colleagues, management, families of residents, and third-party professionals.

Candidate Requirements:

- Previous experience in the health and social care sector or a relevant qualification.

- Ability to lead by example and maintain a positive working environment.

- Consideration and respect for the needs and wishes of individuals in our care.

- A passion for supporting people to lead fulfilling lives.

- Willingness to undergo training and development.

- Excellent people skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
